#ThrowbackThursday to last Saturday, my first outing with the new gadget 😁

🤦‍♂️ first lesson on the new phone ... when I turned the watermark on, I thought it would be the same as my previous... ha! After this snap, had to go in and reset the watermark as my handle + date/time stamp 😂

This was Brendan Gleeson's character Colm's house in the movie The Banshees of Inisherin. It's just a prop, not a real house. Not even sure if it's still there (shot this in 2023). It was located on Keem Beach on Achill Island, Co. Mayo, Ireland. I had to frame this shot carefully so that it didn't show the tent a camper had popped up on the other side of the structure.

Still stuck on the train home. My intended train from Munich was cancelled before I arrived at the station. The train I'm currently on was departing on time but is now 50 mins behind schedule, so bye bye connecting train. 🥲 But I met a group of funny Norwegian guys on the train who attended a trade fair, so the first 1.5 hrs were very entertaining 🤭 They even gave me free trade fair merch for my birthday in July, so I'm now a proud owner of a purple lifting hook bottle opener 🤣

Heute beim Einkaufen bin ich an einem offenen Bücherschrank vorbei gekommen - mit einer ganzen Sammlung von Angelique Büchern.

Vor 40 Jahren habe ich die begeistert gelesen. Ich hab kurz überlegt, ob ich eines mitnehme. Aber ich glaube nicht, dass ich mir damit einen Gefallen tue oder nicht einfach nur schöne Erinnerungen ruiniere.

Vermutlich letzteres, also habe ich es gelassen.

Die junge Kollegin hält es für gefährlich, dass ich kein Telefon mit auf die Hunderunden nehme.
Hallo?! Wir haben in unserer analogen Kindheit von morgens bis abends ohne in den Wäldern gespielt, sind in alte Bunker und auf Bäume geklettert, haben Sauerampfer und Klee vom Waldboden genascht.
Aus heutiger Sicht völlig unbegreiflich, wie ich überhaupt das Erwachsenenalter erreichen konnte.
Komme wohl nach meiner Mama (Foto).

For #throwbackthursday here's my clever but sometimes controversial SNES barrel Jack fix - using a piece cut from a ballpoint pen around 1 pin holds the jack's center pin in place and keeps the plug from moving!
It works great, nothing gets bent by tension and it feels as solid as the original jack!
