U.S. President Donald Trump has an obsession with gold that would make King Midas blush. Here's the Wall Street Journal's exclusive story on how Trump has added a gold Trump crest over the door leading into the White House, brought his own cherubs from Mar-a-Lago, engaged a cabinetmaker from south Florida to add gilded carvings to the Oval Office fireplace, and more. “It’s the Golden Office for the Golden Age,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in an email. A wonderful circular corner bay window topped by a rather striking Glasgow Style metal cupola and finial on Alexandra Parade in the east end of Glasgow.
Le Musée de l'Imprimerie et de la Communication Graphique est situé dans un magnifique hôtel Renaissance. J'y passe régulièrement autant pour sa collection permanente que pour ses expositions temporaires. #Architecture#MobilePhotography#Lyon#BaladeUrbaine

Just for fun, here is a random photo from my collection of beautiful places lost in time. Would you like to hear its story? Did something catch your eye? Ask me a question in the comments!
This was taken from the church of San Michele in Bosco looking out over Bologna. The tower you can see there is the Asinelli tower - it was built sometime between 1109-1119.
Other important information about this area is that I saw a bat and it was very cute.

The former Barony Church from Castle Street in central Glasgow. Designed by Burnet Son and Campbell in an early English style, it was built in the 1880s, a time which is considered to be part of the peak of ecclesiastical architecture in Scotland. It is now Barony Hall, which is part of Strathclyde University.
I am happy to report that my trip to #Augsburg last week was a treasure trove for anyone who loves #doors (aka yours truly)! I only had an hour to explore the old town, but I found so many lovely doors. So behold, here's a badass one!
This is a #door of the #Stadtmetzg. Can you guess what this listed #historicBuilding used to be? It was built in 1609 as the #butchers' guildhall! I imagine it was deemed too refined for the messy process of slaughtering (this was done in the vicinity), but it was used as a central butchery to store and distribute meat to the city's butchers, using the Lech canal underneath to cool the meat in the basement and dispose of the waste.
The site burned down in 1634 and was rebuilt. In 1720 the Academy of Art moved into the upper floors (very random, I know). With the industrialization, the Stadtmetzg was losing importance and in 1930 it permanently closed. After renovations, it was used as an administrative building by the city of Augsburg. In WWII it was severely damaged, but once again restored. Today it is still in use as an administrative building.
Sorry for the long post, there's just so much to tell. To any Augsburgers out there: I hope I got the facts straight!
My cousin Philip Ng told me to check out an #exhibit of his #film Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In and that it had a life-size figure of him. A couple weeks ago I did, and look what/who's the very first thing you see when you enter. Phil's was the only character featured like this, and people were posing with him—wild. #Immersive#exhibition at Airside (a new #mall designed by #architecture firm Snøhetta) in Kai Tak (where the old airport used
