Did a bit of #VisibleMending on smallest daughter’s current favourite sweatpants. The bunnies are cute and always fun to use the #embroidery skills on something practical as well as appealing. #RepairReuseRecycle #Stitchcraft #HandSewing
I am working on the upcoming release of my insect magnets!
Today, I finished 5 purple moths (I put the finished ones on my girls’ cage hehe), I will get started on the beetles tomorrow!
There will be 5 of each model available for the first drop. I’m hoping to release them on Sunday. I will keep you updated!
I share the decorative stitching, and some thoughts on how I’ll be embellishing my April mini quilt.

i added LOTS of patches to my waist pouch and brought it along thinking i’d need it for outfits without pockets. turns out i’m just wearing it all the time for the great convenience of storing my face mask! it’s something i frequently take on and off whenever we pop indoors and out.
Three of nine characters stitch-complete. Two pear characters and the acorn hat character are done. A pair each of cherry, strawberry, and apple pickers remain.
Absolute last chance to get one of my handmade whale pouches! I only have One (1) left and will not be making them again!

They’re really practical to transport small object such as earphones, keys, coins, etc.
For illustrator and fiber artist Tomoko Kubo, the Japanese lettering system sparked an ongoing series of embroideries that also function as playful linguistic learning tools.

Queer Folklore
The first series that I started with my Substack publication, showcasing elements of mythology and folklore that can be related to queerness today, and how it inspires my own work, from poetry to fiber art & embroidery.
And if you are interested in #embroidery, Somé Louis's talk (she has a studio at McGuffey Art Center in #cville ) is on youtube:

Oh dear, I just discovered the Antique Pattern Library and now I suddenly have way too many embroidery patterns I want to make.
Currently sewing an impromptu applique quilt for a dear friend. I'm visiting them soon + the deadline is TIGHT! Fnished the stitching for all appliqued pieces last night, and managed to stitch their dogs name today (due to little to no time). Tomorrow I can hopefully embroider all the words of affirmation I want to incorporate and then it's almost done!
I plan on hand tying the quilt instead of actually quilting. Never done it but it looks better, I think...

I’m currently hand stitching 3 different projects — and my stitching bowl is full of the threads I’m using.
