#Mondog It was hot today at 85F/29C. We waited again to let the sun calm down a bit and had an outdoor time. Just doing this with him is so therapeutic, and it never gets old. I wish we could send you the strong fragrance of the azaleas.
Happiness.
The indoor flowers have been happy with the sunlight too. I thought the cactus flowers were done but they keep going. The yellow hibiscus flower almost went unnoticed amongst the yellowing hibiscus leaves - that's a tree that will be happy to go back outside in a few more weeks.

#FirstFlowers of the year have arrived: Aspens Populus tremuloides are starting to fully open their catkins (willows are just behind, first few open). They may be tiny, but there are millions! Officially wind pollinated, but they do draw insects.

Before the rain came I did a bit of impromptu gardening, tidying some ornamental grasses by pulling away the dry dead stems and leaves. I do not recommend doing this without gardening gloves. They’re not called blades of grass for nothing!
Anyway, here’s something prettier…the apple blossom is out
