Sharing my decision to take the DRP 2.0. If you all feel you should take it, don’t be afraid.
I opted in to the DRP 2.0 yesterday. What was odd was they said we needed to attach a signed agreement to the opt in link by April 14th. I did that because sadly, it is best to move on. I loved serving the people, working for the Federal Government, but commuting 1.5 hours a day one way on a busy interstate every day is too much. I already have a job offer from the state, and have two other interviews Monday and Tuesday. The Monday one is another state job and the second is in the private sector. Both pay much less, but with commuting expenses, time, and stress, it is the right decision for me. Good luck to everyone and God Bless us all!Edit: I have a little over 5.5 years of federal service for reference.

There was a time when the USA was the holy land for medical research and a massive brain drain saw the best talent leaving Australia and heading state side.
Everything is going in reverse since November. Stunning how quickly things can change.
