It's not stupidity.
Trump was raised by his autocratic father to believe in the "power of positive thinking", essentially a warped " will to power" worldview.
So, he constantly frames the world as he would like it to be seen - then tries to bully or flatter everyone into that (or at least echoing his words).
He doesn't care about others, norms, history or reality. And now he has power. He an #AmericanClownEmperor

agree with you. there is zero ceasefire but he believe just saying it, it will become a reality. and zero care for people being killed....

Keep in mind his brother John might have been more or less a "normal" person, though John is not around to test that.
I really suspect Donald was born with minor brain damage. Even to his parents he was abnormal. They sent him to military school. They would have done that because he displayed something like Conduct Disorder and was probably violent.
@matp92 @TCatInReality @Free_Press I think there is a very, very limited ceasefire... from Ukraine on russian oil refineries. They are targeting other things this month. Stupid, I know.
