Scandinavian ⁂ ArchitectEncore un truc étrange sur Linux tiens : J'ai installé un thème d'icones, j'ai fait le tri pour ne garder que les icones d'apps et de folders grosso modo, donc pour toutes les icones "systèmes" on va dire je fallbacke sur Adwaita. Ça marche SAUF pour l'icone Desktop de la sidebar. Bon ce qui est bizarre c'est qu'au départ j'avais dit "inherit ZorinBlue" mais balec ça allait quand même chercher les icones Adwaita. Qu'au final je préfère à la réflexion. Quelle solution pour votre PC ?Bonjour,Comme c’est le premier article de cette année 2025, je vous souhaite tout le meilleur pour cette nouvelle année !Pour revenir au sujet, vous le savez peut-être déjà mais le <a href="https://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/windows/end-of-support" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">14 Octobre prochain, le support « gratuit » de Windows 10 s’arrêtera</a>, ce qui fait que les PC tournant avec ce système ne recevront plus les mises à jour de sécurité et deviendront donc vulnérables.A ce jour, d’après les statistiques venant de <a href="https://gs.statcounter.com/os-market-share/desktop/worldwide" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Statcounter</a>, le parc mondial de PC est composé d’un peu plus de 73% de PC tournant sur Windows, et parmi eux, une large part (62,7%) sont encore sur Windows 10 et près de 2,4% sont encore sur <a href="https://tugaleres.com/2020/01/12/fin-du-support-windows-7/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Windows 7 pourtant abandonné depuis le 14 Janvier 2020</a>.Si vous êtes encore sur Windows 10, vous pouvez encore y rester jusqu’à la date fatidique, tout en gardant en tête qu’il va falloir penser à une solution plus perenne passé cette date. A noter que pour les professionnels qui ne pourraient pas migrer de suite car PC critique et/ou rencontrant des soucis de migration, Microsoft va proposer un programme de mises à jour Sécurité étendue (ESU) payant. Le prix annoncé est pour le moment de <a href="https://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/windows/end-of-support#question-8" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">30$ pour un an et par machine</a> pour la première année.La solution la plus logique pour la plupart des utilisateurs serait donc de passer à la nouvelle version de Windows proposée via le processus de mise à niveau. Cela dit, Windows 11 a des conditions assez restrictives concernant le matériel et classe donc des PC parfaitement fonctionnels comme obsolètes et ne leur propose pas cette nouvelle version. A la place, vous êtes invités à acheter un nouveau PC. Dans certains cas, c’était peut-être déjà prévu et ça peut être une solution mais cela reste léger tout de même…Si votre PC n’est pas compatible et que vous souhaitez le conserver car il répond à vos besoins, une distribution Linux pourrait le sauver (tous les PC utilisés côté Tugaleres seraient à jeter s’ils étaient encore sous Windows…). Cependant, certains jeux en lignes ne sont malheureusement pas jouables sous Linux à cause de l’anti-cheat proposé par l’éditeur du jeu (ex : Call of Duty, Fortnite etc…), sauf par l’intermédiaire d’un service comme le <a href="https://tugaleres.com/2022/07/24/profitez-des-jeux-du-game-pass-sur-linux-avec-le-cloud-gaming/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Xbox Cloud Gaming</a>.Les distributions citées précédemment peuvent être utilisées pour un usage Gaming. Un tuto a d’ailleurs été fait par Gaming Linux FR pour installer et configurer <a href="https://codeberg.org/Gaming-Linux-FR/guide-mint" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Linux Mint pour un usage Gaming / Multimédia</a>. My old laptop was struggling. I also found the interface a bit basic. Good to explore other distros though.
