Moments after taking this shot a tree came sliding down the icy gorge mere feet away from me. I would have been dead on impact if I got hit. Needless to say I packed my gear up as fast as I could to get out of there. A very scary moment at Stony Brook State Park and one I'll never forget. This was back in 2010 and I learned real quick, there is a reason why they close trails off. If a trail is closed, don't be a young me, stay off! At least I got a nice photo out of it🙃
