Vint Prox
I swear, every time someone asks this, what their gut really wants is a friendly interface that gives them an opportunity to spend less time staring at the screen and just do their thing. I don't care if timeout is 2 seconds more or something, just give user a working password field for the time being... It doesn't present any security risk to just be less of a jerk to the end user, you know.

#SDDM

Vint Prox
Interfaces don't have to be such a nag. So, I mistyped my password on #SDDM login screen, happens all the time. Do I really have to suffer from the field being disabled for the time that is meant for backend to prevent *automatic* (or almost instant) combinatorics? While I wait for the next attempt, I could just remember where my typing went wrong, spend my time correcting it and press Enter right at the timeout for next attempt. But this thing just won't let me type anything *until* I have wasted time staring at the screen mindlessly, now will it?
