The #LGBT community has always had an affinity with the #wizardofOz The #trans community unknowingly to many have their own Oz icon. In the marvelous land of Oz, designed first as a play and then converted into a book, Tip is a boy raised by a witch in an evil witch.
He escapes with new friends and meets up and travels with the scarecrow and Tin woodsman.
In the end, Glinda discovers from the evil witch that Tip was actually princess Ozma turned into a boy to make her unable to find.
While shocked at first, she accepts her true gender and role as queen of Oz.
In the all books, the wizard was a good man but a bad wizard. In the play versions, the wizard is evil, steals Ozma and gives her to the witch to hide.
This wizard inspired his role in Wicked.

Welcomes #AdultContent (discussion of #sexuality , some explicit materials, #kink, and #polyamory )

Welcomes social commentary (I think she means #leftist #politics )

She's never used Mastodon before, and is not particularly tech savvy (so no infosec-opensource-foss-whatever focused servers, please), but like most of us who ended up here, she's tired of the fascist censorship and coddling of mainstream social media platforms, and wants to find a place she can connect with others without having to constantly look over her shoulder for nazis and/or algorithmic censorship.

She also didn't mention character count, but as a writer (and person who enjoys engaging in nuanced conversation instead of screaming click bait headlines), something more than the default 500 characters would be nice as well. 😊
