En 2007, dans la note "États-Uniens ou Américains, that is the question" du blogue Langue sauce piquante (Le Monde), les auteurs rappellent que le mot est utilisé en particulier au <a href="https://social.sciences.re/tags/Quebec" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Quebec</a> - effectivement, dans la publication de L'Action nationale des années 1930-1940. Antidote confirme à la fois l'existence du terme, mais son usage peu courant devant l'ancrage du terme "Américain". Plusieurs sources et compléments intéressants dans l'entrée du Wiktionary.
