(In addition to <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/irc" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#irc</a> as a chat that is)It worked fine. Galene has really low ressource demands and we had multiple people in the chat on two continents with good quality video and multiple simultaneous screenshare windows at the same time. I don't like the pop-ups to play some kind of game. I don't like the store. I don't like the monetization of it as a platform. I don't like that everyone seems to use it in lieu of forums. I'm deliberating going away from Discord even if there are many groups on it which I would miss. Yet another social media / messenger anything which gets destroyed by capitalism.

But today they've crossed the line - they've shown me an ad, an ad that has obfucaed the chat at that. I've disabled the account and not going to use it anymore. Good ridding I guess.
