Virgile AndreaniI spent the day rectifying segmentation and tracking for bacteria in microfluidic devices. 1000 frames, 5 chambers, ~8 cells per chamber, so 40000 pictures of cells to look at, and check that they match frame to frame. I think I'm done with screens for the day. Fortunately automation helps, and drawing the lineages as graphs allows to spot errors more easily. Along with the usual cover letter, writing sample, etc., applicants are required them to submit two letters of recommendation themselves.Is this a thing? He failed to do so for lack of a ticket machine. K Belisario (she/her)I’m thinking of using change scores in regression trees to probe why some people are insulated from having a rebound of anxiety/ depression symptoms whilst others are not, given alcohol’s effects as a depressant. I typically wouldn’t use change scores (i.e. measure at follow-up subtracted from baseline), but this seems like an appropriate use. I’m curious if anyone has experience of using change scores in this sort of context?
